The RAM Run, previously hosted by Valley Springs Middle School, now fully supports the Progressive Education Program (PEP) at its three sites located at Estes Elementary, Valley Springs Middle, and TC Roberson High School. PEP is a school within a school and serves students with Read More significant disabilities from throughout Buncombe County. The PEP program provides individualized classroom instruction by skilled special education teachers and instructional assistants, related services staff, adapted physical education, and job coaches. PEP provides a nurturing and safe learning environment which promotes a positive learning experience and fosters self-esteem in our students. We value our students as individuals with unique physical, social, emotional, and intellectual needs who are treated with dignity and respect.
Our goal is to raise as much money as possible to directly benefit the students’ education. This year, all proceeds from the Ram Run will go directly to PEP. The RAM Run will take place on April 25, 2020. Set up begins at 7 am and the race starts at 9am. There will be both a 5K walk/run/roll and a 1 Mile Fun Run!
The RAM Run starts on the campus of Valley Springs Middle School. The 5K course wraps behind Estes Elementary School and through a portion of beautiful Biltmore Park, ending back at Valley Springs. This is a family event and will be advertised on many outdoor event websites for Asheville in order to involve the greater community.
