Aaron Saft is running the North Face Challenge 50 Miler in support of the Herren Project
On May 13, 2017 I will be running The North Face Challenge NY 50-Mile Race. I have chosen to raise money for The Herren Project in conjunction with running this event. The Herren Project states their Mission to be:
The mission of The Herren Project is to provide assistance in taking the first steps toward recovery and a life of sobriety, educational programs and resources to increase awareness on the signs of addiction and bring hope for a better tomorrow.
- Positively impact the lives of those suffering with addiction by providing effective treatment navigation.
- Educate youth and at-risk populations on the importance of a healthy lifestyle and provide techniques to handle pressure within their lives, their community or their family situation.
- Provide scholarships to programs, clinics and camps to increase self confidence, motivation and develop a firm foundation on which to build success.
You see I had an immediate family member that struggled with addiction and needed help. My family did not know of The Herren Project at the time, but I saw the costs and sacrifices made so this individual could have the help needed to get through the throws of addiction. So many others can’t afford the help they need, and that is where The Herren Project comes in. I am raising money to help others gain access to resources that will allow them to fight addiction and hopefully break free of its grasp.
Please help me in whatever way you can. If you can donate, I can’t thank you enough! If you can spread the word, that in and of its self is more than I could ask for. Please assist me in helping others that truly want to break their addictions.
I am humbled by your generosity and goodwill!
